Rabbit Enclosure (With Variable Run Sizes) from 4Wire

Run Size 4 is NOT recommended, as it falls below the recommended minimum enclosure size of 3m x 2m.

This is a 4 sided run created with box style house to give your pets shelter from the elements.

These photos are provided by a customer so NONE of the extras are included such as animals, boxes, bedding etc. Only run the and the shelf with ladder pictured is avaiable.
This can be made in a number of sizes.

The box is 197cm x 188cm and the run is 197cm x 188cm.

These sizes are not exact, all products are handmade so must allow for slight human variance.

This run is made using strong 16G wire mesh this is fox / dog proof and safe to use with cats.
Each run comes with the option to change the hole size.
16G wire comes in 1/2″ x 1/2″,      1/2″ x 1″,     1″ x 1″     and 2″ x 2″.
The best hole size depends on what you are using the run for 16G 1″ or 2″ would be the most popular for cats or dogs, to keep our rats you would need a 16G 1/2″ x 1/2″ etc.

16G panels have 45mm (approx) timber.
All our timber is pressure treated and our standard timber is coated with an animal friendly stain.  Our timber has a long life span and is well suited for being outside but we do recommend for customers to retreat timber yearly if possible to help keep the weather from having an affect for as long as possible.

There is an option to add the shelf inside the run. It’s been found that small animals such as rabbits enjoy being high up so this shelf is the perfect extra space for them to explore. This has a ladder leading up to the shelf along the back wall and the mesh panel along the front stops them falling off. The shelf runs the length of the back of the box  and is around 18” wide and around 2ft off the floor. Please be aware of how much space this shelf could take up in smaller box options.

There is an option to add insulation inside the sleep box.
The 40mm thick jablite insulation boards is inserted and then covered with ply for a tidy finish.
This helps the box stay cool in summer and warm in the winter.
The box comes with a human size entry door for access into the box as shown.

If you don’t add insulation the inside of the run will not be lined like the photos it’ll just be our standard fully boarded panels with a frame inside.

The mesh roof panels mean that this run is fully enlcosed stopping anything from getting in or out of the run from the top. The sleeping box has a black waterproof roof covering the box to make this watertight.
The roofing sheets will overlap when the run is put together and the sheets are mounted on a slope to allow the water to run off the top.

The panels do not come with any fixings unless one of our fixing packs are added. The appropriate size pack needed for this specific run in the large fixing pack.
This comes with 100 3″ screws, a packet of 15″ cable ties and 8 18″ wooden 45mm pegs. (See photo for whats supplied)
The colour of the wooden pegs may be brown or natural depending on the stock we have at the time.
If you do not opt to add this you will need to purchase your own fixings. The panels could be screwed, bolted, hinged, bracketed, cable tied etc.
