Most rabbits surrendered to the rescue need to be neutered as part of our preparations for adoption to permanent new homes.

As we are partnered with dozens of vet practices across Central Scotland, the costs vary considerably.  On average, costs are around £152 for male rabbit castrate procedures and around £184 for female rabbit spay procedures.

While adopters generously offer donations at the time of adoption, the reality is that our costs for these procedures often exceed the donations, leaving us with a significant financial gap.
