Coronavirus COVID-19 Response: Lockdown Restrictions

As an essential service meeting animal welfare needs, we are permitted to deliver many of our services during lockdown, and we continue to be here to support rabbits in need and their owners.

During the current situation with COVID-19, our Bunny Bothy and Hoppy Hub are strictly operating on an appointment-only basis, utilising contactless Click & Collect appointments where possible, arranged ahead of your visit.

We continue to offer adoptions and rabbit rehoming/surrenders, as well as rabbit food, bedding, treats and toys through our click and collect services.

Our Bonding Bootcamp services are now operating again.

We have also introduced a broader range of telephone and video consultation services to replace a number of our face-to-face services.

Please check out the links below for further information on these individual services.

Beloved Rabbits is committed to ensuring the safety and health of both our volunteer team and the general public.

We are continually monitoring the current government guidelines to ensure best practise at this team and will continue to update information on the charity as and when we can.

Care Advice & Support

For advice on how to care for your rabbits, click the link below.

Our volunteer team are also available to contact via Facebook, email and our contact forms.

Rabbit Adoptions

We are now able to accept, assess and process adoptions.

Following a virtual home check, our volunteer team will contact you to make arrangements for adoption via a Click & Collect appointment, supported afterwards with telephone and video consultations where appropriate.

Rabbit Surrenders

We are able to accept rabbits into the rescue and will manage this via a waiting list due to demand.

When space permits, a volunteer will contact owners to make further arrangements via contactless drop-off or collection appointments.

Bonding Support Services (1)

Our Bonding Bootcamp services have temporarily been suspended due to the latest lockdown restrictions.

For more information on how we can support the bonding of your rabbits, check out the link below.

We have multiple services available that can be arranged via video conferencing or over the phone.

Click & Collect Shop (2)

Our click and collect service will still be available through tier 4 restrictions. However, we do not recommend travelling to the Bothy if you are outside East Dunbartonshire or visiting for essential animal welfare purposes.

Our click and collect shop allows you to buy all of your rabbit essentials and rabbit toys online from our charity (raising money for a good cause in the process) and collect at your convenience at The Bothy in Kirkintilloch.

Shop rabbit food, rabbit bedding and litter, rabbit treats, toys and accessories as well as some merchandise for bunny owners too.

Fundraising, Awareness & Events

We're not currently planning any fundraising & awareness events but there are lots of ways you still get involved with Beloved Rabbits to champion rabbit welfare and help us raise money for the rabbits we rescue.

Take a look at some of the ways you can get involved below or visit our donations & support page for more information.

Sponsored Walks

Recently, some of our volunteer team took park in the Virtual Kiltwalk where we were able to take part in a sponsored walk which was carefully socially distanced and allowed our team to venture out close to home.

We were able to raise over £1600 so far which can neuter up to 15 of the rabbits who are currently waiting to hop off. to their forever home.

Regular Giving

Did you know you can set up regular giving donations to our charity by direct debit - this can be monthly, quarterly or even once a year from just £2.

These donations help our charity to have a more regular stream of income which could help feed a rabbit, buy bedding & litter or even go towards essential equipment at our Hoppy Hub or in our foster care network.

Every little donation really does help!

If there's one thing that's came out of lockdown, it's that we're all now professional Amazon shoppers!

While you're getting your daily Amazon fix, you could be helping to raise funds for our charity with no extra cost to you. By shopping at and selecting us as your chosen charity, a percentage of their profits will be given back to us.
