Beloved Rabbits, a dedicated rabbit rescue charity operating in Scotland, is seeking a committed individual to join our team as a StoryTeller volunteer.

About Beloved Rabbits: Beloved Rabbits is a non-profit organisation dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming rabbits in need across Scotland. Our mission is to improve the welfare of rabbits through education, advocacy, and compassionate care.

Role Overview: As a StoryTeller volunteer, you will play a crucial role in raising awareness of rabbit welfare issues in Scotland and promoting support for Beloved Rabbits. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting informal/casual interviews with volunteers, adopters, and rabbit owners to gather stories and insights.
  • Collating content from various charity resources, including success stories, educational material, and rescue updates.
  • Creating compelling articles and video scripts tailored for various platforms, including social media, adoption activities, rehoming support, educational initiatives, regular email newsletters, press releases, and website content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interviewing volunteers, adopters, and rabbit owners to collect compelling stories and testimonials.
  • Compiling and organising content from diverse charity resources to create engaging narratives.
  • Crafting written articles and video scripts effectively communicating rabbit welfare issues and Beloved Rabbits’ mission.
  • Collaborating with the charity’s management team to ensure consistent messaging across different channels.
  • Contributing to the creation of impactful social media campaigns and educational materials.
  • Assisting with disseminating content through various channels to reach a wider audience.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong storytelling abilities with a passion for creating engaging narratives.
  • Ability to conduct interviews and gather compelling stories from diverse sources.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation best practices.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in journalism, content creation, or marketing is advantageous but not required.
  • A genuine passion for animal welfare, particularly for rabbits, and a commitment to promoting their welfare.
