Care Team Manager

For volunteers aged 18+ years

Our Care Team Manager will work closely with the charity’s Rescue Director to ensure the day-to-day management and standards are maintained within our rescue centre, The Hoppy Hub.

Most of our rabbits are cared for in foster homes throughout Central Scotland, but The Hoppy Hub provides essential support facilities allowing us:

  • Additional rescue space to supplement the foster care network.
  • Emergency and foster holiday-cover facilities
  • Our popular Bonding Support Service – The Bonding Bootcamp

As our Care Team Manager, you will

  • ensure that rabbit care standards are trained and maintained throughout our rabbit care team.
  • Support team members to ensure a full rota of cover is maintained across our morning and evening care shifts.
  • Contribute to the development of volunteer hands-on training experience, in conjunction with our Education Managers, research and content team.

It would be expected that you would take part in the rota as one of our Care Leads, covering one of our weekly 2 hour shifts as part of your role.  This would give an excellent opportunity to understand, hands-on, what is involved and give you an opportunity to lead by example.

You will also join our charity’s Management Team, giving you an opportunity to get involved in various aspects of our activities and our strategy as we strive to address the rabbit welfare crisis in Scotland.  As well as support from across the whole management team, we meet as a team every 2 to 3 months to work through the key issues and strategy of the charity and ensure that every aspect of what we do is running is as smoothly as possible.

Full training & support will be given for the role.
